Calypsociation Information

Calypsociation is an association that radiates the steelpan in France since 1993: it is both a resource center (CDs, DVDs, books, sheet music, exhibitions, conferences), a concert hall and a school involving a hundred students in different steelband. Concerts, workshops, tutorials, master classes are offered throughout the year. Calypsociation is, above all, playing the loving fans panistes pan together! Our members are encouraged to participate actively in the project of the association by concerts, helping to organize school parties and other events, maintaining the premises ... Calysociation makes a point of honor to pool everyone's skills to benefit the association and the actions it implements, all in a friendly and festive. Created June 8, 1993 by William Kervel, and Emmanuel Barthelemy Fougea Masselot. Calypsociation aims to promote the practice of steel-drum in France, and to develop cultural exchanges between France and Trinidad and Tobago. In 1996, the association is structured in school under the leadership of Daniel Verba.
