Calictus Filter Systems Information

Water is precious. The Calictus filter has been developed with this aspect in mind. The founder of the company, John Gieles, set out to develop a filter that would be environmental friendly and most of all easy to use. After 35 years of having Japanese Koi on his farm he wanted to enjoy them better by seeing his koi swimming in clear ponds and most of all he wanted his expensive fish to remain healthy. He developed with his new acquired scientific knowledge about water from the University of Wageningen in Holland his own filter based on the philosophy that a dirty filter can’t keep his fish healthy, because a dirty filter has an effect on the state of the water. Hence the birth of the Calictus; a compact filter that collects the waste and disposes the waste by remaining utterly clean. So there is no pollution and therefore clean water for fish and humans. Because the filter is truly self cleaning it’s unique. The filter is patented in Europe and the USA and is tested by the department Fish Breeding of the University of Wagening with a GOOD approval and has won several innovation prizes.
