Steel Bridge challenges students to participate in a competition to design and fabricate a 1/10 scale steel bridge to sustain specific loading conditions and conform to several other strict requirements. Every year team members work together to plan, design, fabricate, and construct a steel bridge to compete at the Pacific Southwest Conference and the National Student Steel Bridge Competition in the Spring. This project incorporates technical knowledge with hands-on experience consistent with Cal Poly's "Learn By Doing" motto.
