We offer support to groups on whatever they require. For funding this may be one-to one support throughout the funding process, from the initial enquiry, helping groups identify funders for their project to checking over the application before submitting it. We have the latest publication on the major trusts and access to online funder information which we use to help groups identify funders that may offer grants to their projects. We also offer advice on constitutions, and help groups update and make amendments to their constitutions if necessary. With new charity legislation in place it is important to check your constitution to ensure that it reflects the activities and aims of your group. We organise training workshops throughout the year that have been identified as needed by the voluntary sector. If your group has identified a training need then we will try and deliver a training workshop or advice on the issue. Also separately from these services Caithness Voluntary Group also offers a range of services to community groups or individuals, including word processing, typing, duplicating, reports, newsletters, programmes, paper, envelopes, photocopying, faxing, laminating, mailing list/labels, whist and other tickets and acetates, all with a reduced rate for members, the membership fee is £6.00 yearly. This includes a free lending service for publications, display boards, flipchart easel with pens, collecting cans, lectern, and overhead projector with screen.
