The Antinori family has been committed to the art of winemaking for over six centuries since 1385 when Giovanni di Piero Antinori became a member, of the “Arte Fiorentina dei Vinattieri”, the Florentine Winemakers’ Guild. All throughout its history, twenty-six generations long, the Antinori family has managed the business directly making innovative and sometimes bold decisions while upholding the utmost respect for traditions and the environment.
Palazzo di Varignana rises in the elegant setting of the Bolognese hills, immersed in the sweet Emilian landscape. The heart of the project is Palazzo Bentivoglio, an ancient villa dating back to 1705 and renovated respecting the charm of its history. Around it, surrounded by ornamental gardens, water sources and enchanting views, there are a series of other buildings, forming a small village surrounded by nature. The whole is an original and sustainable model of widespread hospitality. The Resort houses 150 contemporary-style rooms, six independent villas, four restaurants, a 4.000 sqm SPA with 7outdoor swimming pools, gym, sports fields, a modern conference center and spaces for events. Palazzo di Varignana owns also a 500 hectares agricultural estate and produces an excellent and multi-awarded extravirgin olive oil, along with other food products (wine, saffron, pomegranate etc...)
