CAERI Information

China Automotive Engineering Research Institute Co. Ltd. (CAERI), established in March 1965, is a first-class state institute (ever named Chongqing Heavy-duty Vehicle Research Institute). In 2006, the union of CAERI and China General Technology (Group) Holding, Ltd. was realized. Therefore, CAERI was incorporated into China General Technology (Group) Holding, Ltd. to become its exclusively invested subsidiary enterprise. In Nov.2010, the company realized whole remanufacture into a stock-company type enterprise. CAERI is mainly engaged in the technical service for automobile and manufacturing operations of automobile industrialization including development of various products, the technical consulting, test and the quality inspection and authentication; the manufacturing of special vehicles and key components of mono-train bogie, gas fuel system and so on. CAERI has become the well-known important base and institute with strong R&D capability and great testing facility. During the "Twelfth Five-Year" period, CAERI invests to construct a new headquarters which is going to have a R&D center and all test rooms, including crash, NVH, EMC, emission, EV, alternative fuel, full automobile, engine and parts. That is to say, CAERI will be a multi-functional first-class automobile test and research enterprise.
