Caddies 4 Cure Information

Caddies 4 Cure is dedicated to raising money and awareness for causes that meet the needs of children and families in the community. The Portland-based non-profit was established in 2002 by Ryan DuChene and Justin Marquart. Friends for more than 20 years, Ryan and Justin founded Caddies 4 Cure as a way to raise money for two charities close to their hearts - Randall Children's Hospital at Legacy Emanuel and the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Oregon Chapter. In 2001, Ryan's wife, Marci, was diagnosed with MS. Today Marci is winning the battle against MS - but it is not easy and countless others are not as fortunate. Ryan and Marci hope that their Charitable efforts will on day lead to a cure. Justin and his wife Lisa came to know Randall Children's Hospital in 2000 through the tragic loss of they daughter, Ella Marie, to a congenital heart defect at three weeks of age. Justin and Lisa spent every day and night at the hospital and are grateful to the staff of doctors, nurses, and administrators who applied a family-centered approach to the care for patients and families. Caddies 4 Cure began in 2002 as an informal father-son golf tournament and quickly grew into one of the premiere charity events in the Northwest. A Night To Chip In is an evening event featuring a live and silent auction, casino games, and celebrity guests. The Celebrity Golf Classic, pairs foursomes with celebrity golfers. Additional events have included a Celebrity Bowling Challenge and concert events. Caddies 4 Cure is an all-volunteer organization. Due to the generosity of our sponsors and supporters, Caddies 4 Cure has raised more than $1.8 million for the Oregon and SW Washington chapter of the National MS Society, Randall Children's Hospital at Legacy Emanuel, and other Northwest charities.
