CAC Architects Information

CAC Architects has focused on laboratories and office tenant improvement construction projects since its inception in 2006. The founding principal, Albert Chiang, has worked on life science projects since 1999 and campus construction since the 1980s. Prior to 1999, Albert and Ted Mahl worked with the two largest architectural firms in California on multi-building campus construction and master planning projects. In 2017 alone, CAC worked on an aggregate construction project valuation of over $100 million. CAC Architects works with all of the large biotech lab developers in the Bay Area, and has projects from Southern California to Seattle, and as far as India, as we follow our clients abroad. Other areas of focus for CAC include healthcare laboratories, pharmaceutical cGMP plants, vivariums, commercialization scaled-up lab facilities, and data centers. CAC also utilizes BIM software to improve the quality of projects and construction, leading to more accurate and thorough drawing packages, better cost overrun control, and clash detection before construction commences. If requested, CAC can now present project designs in virtual reality, a fully immersive experience which helps individuals visualize drawings in three dimensions.
