Radiant was established in 2000 to develop and commercialize an innovative new broadband fixed wireless access technology, known as MESHWORKS. The first Radiant MESHWORKS networks were deployed in late 2002. An A round of funding raised US$20 million in 2000 and a B round raised US$16m dollars in December 2001. These funds were raised from: Advent Venture Partners, Intel Capital, executives of Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co., and Sandler Capital Management.
