Founded by one of South Africa's most acclaimed coffee industry champions, Donovan Mclagan, Cabal Coffee is a source for quality roasted coffee and expertise. 'A cabal is a group of people who are united in some close design, usually to promote their private views or interests.' Cabal Coffee is Donovan's personal expression of how coffee should be roasted, and the corresponding sensory experience - one of balance, that is approachable and memorable. It is also an expression of home, where we seek comfort, longing and a place you always come back to. Donovan is a 4-time South African Cup Taster's Champions who represented our country on the world stage multiple times. He has supported, and continues to support, local and international roasters and Cafes with roast consulting and training, as an internationally acclaimed and accredited Specialty Coffee Association Trainer. Cabal Coffee exists because we have a deep love for coffee, its processes and most importantly the people who bring us this amazing product.
