CABA Capital is a European fixed-income relative-value manager, founded in 2016 and based in Copenhagen. We specialise in yield-spread strategies across European mortgage and covered bond markets with the Scandinavian markets as a key part of our investment universe . The CABA strategies capture the risk premium provided by the yield spread that highly rated covered bonds pay over government bonds and swaps. The CABA strategies use leverage to achieve an attractive yield within a clear risk management framework. Interest-rate and currency risks are hedged so returns are generated from the spread rather than from the direction of rates. The CABA portfolio management team use a number of quantitative tools to identify the optimal markets and securities in which to deploy capital. In addition the team uses to its extensive experience within the European mortgage and covered bond markets to evaluate the most attractive fixed income opportunities with a disciplined and risk based approach.
