CAAS is one of Ireland’s longest established providers of planning and environmental advice to public sector bodies and planning authorities. From our establishment, in 1972, as the ‘Conservation and Amenity Advice Service’ within the highly regarded Foras Forbartha, we have grown into a highly specialised consultancy while remaining exclusively focused on servicing the public sector. Over the years we have been helping local authorities to protect and enhance rural and urban amenities and providing advice to help conserve the natural and cultural environment. As additional needs have emerged, we have expanded our skills in key areas such as Landscape Character Assessment, Strategic Environmental Assessment, Appropriate Assessment and Flood Planning.
