C4IR Ocean Information

As an affiliate of the Center for the Fourth Industrial Revolution (C4IR), the World Economic Forum and the Aker group have established a centre for Ocean technologies. The centre goes under the name of C4IR Ocean and has a global mandate to use the advances of fourth industrial revolution technologies for the benefit of a productive and healthy ocean and to improve the environmental footprint of ocean industries. The C4IR Ocean is the first thematic center of the C4IR network and will provide a platform for partnerships on governance, policies, research, and business solutions within our mandate. The C4IR Ocean is an independent non-profit foundation, financed initially by the Aker group. The Ocean Data Foundation and the Ocean Data Platform will be integrated in the C4IR Oceans work and projects and policies in Norway.
