O-Two Carbon is aimed at commercializing a patented technology for separating CO2 directly from industrial off-gas and converting it into ethylene/ethanol. Besides, Alberta being Canada’s carbon hub in terms of cumulative CO2 emission (~260 million tons (Mt)/year), a well-developed technology by O-Two Carbon for translating this feedstock to valuable market products with diverse applications can generate a billion-dollar industry. The key competitive advantage lies in the membrane, catalyst and reactor design that reduces overall energy consumption by ~30% compared to others. Upon further optimization and upscaling, our mission is to avoid 1 Mt of annual emissions by 2030 to help transition toward Canada’s net-zero commitment. Currently, we are reaching out to potential investors and commercialization partners for (1) technology scale-up and pilot demonstration and (2) process development (e.g., couple our technology directly with industrial off-gas to generate formic acid/ethylene/ethanol etc.).
