Sew Over It was founded in 2011 by Lisa Comfort with one main aim – to teach as many people as possible how to sew! At Sew Over it we help you sew a stylish wardrobe with a wide range of sewing patterns, fabrics and our online Stitch School. We ship worldwide. Sew Over It started as a response to the growing feeling that sewing was becoming a lost skill. Lisa wanted to pass on her passion for sewing and encourage more people to pick up a needle and thread! Everyone who works at Sew Over It is passionate about sewing and all our teachers are experts in their area and love passing on their skills.

Our mission is to create a free social network for those whose passion is to sew, quilt, dye fabric, create sewing patterns, clothing, accessories, making designs for fun or going into production. Anyone registered with Sewist gets full and forever free access to all features provided by the platform: Community Comprehensive user accounts, forums, groups, stash organiser, pattern library, online design tool are at your service. You can become friends with other users, start or join a group, chat in forums, exchange private messages, et cetera. We would expect a selected number of Sewist members eventually become trusted editors and moderators to help us keep the platform nice and spam-free. Patterns
