Our Design Philosophy Butcher & Baker reflects the traditions and honest craftsmanship of history's great artisans, with a decidedly modern style. Drawing on the design aspects of the old world for our goods, we construct garments, knives, and tools for culinary and cocktail enthusiasts that are durable and timeless, with a commitment to understanding the functionality and comfort needed in today's kitchens. Our Inspiration Our founder realized after years of working as a chef, that the garment industry had failed to keep pace with the needs of today's culinary generation and the evolving food landscape. Frustrated by the lack of comfortable, durable, and stylish clothing for chefs, he went to work creating a line that would fill that void, as well as bridge the gap between the professional chef, and the amateur cook. We are inspired by the people that are the driving force in today's expanding food culture and increasingly food-centric society. We believe that there is a need for high-quality kitchen and street wear that serves the needs and expresses the identity of all those that are passionate about the art of cooking. At Butcher & Baker, we pay equal attention to form, function, and finish. We believe that if you feel better, you cook better, and to that end, we constantly work to achieve better designs for food-lovers. Our Materials We use only the best available products in the construction of our clothing, knives, and provisions, and support the use of local, organic materials whenever possible.
