BUTA Group - sustainable production of agricultural products The Buta Group established in 1999 was from beginning not only a food producer but also construction company and real estate developer. Since 2009 Buta Group has consistently promoted the sustainable production of agricultural products. Buta Group is one of the largest producers of premium quality greenhouse tomatoes, bell peppers and potato in Azerbaijan. Aztomato in Zira village and Ismayilli Terevezleri in Ismayilli city core companies in Buta Agro devision of Buta Group. Buta Agro owns and operates seven greenhouse facilities in Zira, Sumqayit, Samux, Kurdaxani, Evlax. These regions support a vibrant greenhouse industry due to their superior growing conditions, in terms of light and temperature, when compared to other regions of Azerbaijan. Aztomato vegetables are grown hydroponically (without the use of soil) in a glass enclosed high technology environment using sophisticated computer systems to control irrigation, fertilizers, carbon dioxide, light, temperature, ventilation, humidity and other climatic factors. The Company operates an industry leading sales, distribution and marketing organization.
