The Burnsville Community Foundation was organized in 1998 by Mayor Elizabeth Kautz when the Ames Family, of Burnsville's headquartered Ames Construction, expressed interest in donating a sculpture for the newly created Burnsville Heart of the City District. The Foundation was officially organized as a 501c(3), non-profit organization with the help of William Perron, who contributed his legal and financial expertise. Since then, The Burnsville Community Foundation has continued to deliver results, fulfilling the original mission: To create art and amenities for the beautification of Burnsville.
