We are a team driven by the legacy of our founder, Margaret Rudkin. She was a passionate entrepreneur who started the business from her kitchen in 1937, baking whole grain bread for her poorly son. Franz Bakery is a fifth-generation, family-owned baking company founded in Portland Oregon since 1906, we are proud to support the communities we serve.
We operate 11 bakeries in 9 states, with production specializing in several categories including but not limited to bread, buns, bagels, English muffins, sourdough, donuts, rolls, croutons, cookies, and pastries.
As we continue to grow with the needs of our customers, we have developed certified organic, gluten free and non-GMO products. We not only bake under the Franz brand, but also have a family of brands that include, Seattle Sourdough Baking Company, Seattle International Baking Company, Naked Bread, Dunford, Alaska Grains Baking Company, Keto Culture, Sweetheart, Breadlover’s and Love’s.
