Bumpin’ is a social voting app that connects people in downtown Athens by displaying real-time venue ratings, current location of your friends, and specials at various bars. For our users, the mission is to simplify the decision-making process regarding where to go for the night by providing the luxury of discovering which venues are receiving the highest real-time ratings from their friends. For bar owners, we strive only to deliver opportunities to drive foot-traffic to their venues as well as features within the app to advertise the attributes of their unique atmosphere. As of right now, the application is only equipped to provide nightlife assistance in Athens, Georgia. With Athens being ranked the top town in the nation for most bars per square mile, we cannot ask for a more ideal test market for Bumpin'. Our plan is to utilize Athens to learn our lessons regarding how to engage and serve the nightlife community. Once we have determined the best marketing techniques and feature configurations, we intend to expand and apply those principles to markets elsewhere.
