Bully Boy Bollards operate on compressed air, a bollard assembly does not include electric motors, pumps, valves or hydraulics. Eliminating this equipment from the bollard assembly lowers maintenance requirements and greatly improves reliability. Being completely sealed at surface level and below, there are no entry points for water or silt. Therefore no drainage is required which reduces the complexity of installation. The bollard barrier rams are solid filled and the whole assembly is encased in reinforced concrete. Consequently the bollards can withstand significant force. Vehicle traffic control currently consists of barrier arms, gates and bollards which are either too flimsy, expensive or high maintenance.
