We're guardians and ground-breakers for one of the world's great neighbourhoods. We work with local businesses and our community to make Bankside stronger, greener and happier. One of the UK's first Business Improvement Districts, we cover the neighbourhood from London Bridge to Blackfriars Bridge, from the Thames in the north to Borough Station in the south - home to world-renowned landmarks including Borough Market, Tate Modern, and Shakespeare's Globe, as well as over 900 businesses. Since 2005, we've been putting the better in Bankside - energising action on climate change, helping businesses thrive, and transforming public spaces to drive the district forward. BIDs run in five-year terms. Our most recent ballot, held in 2024, saw 91% of the business community vote in favour of another five years of Better Bankside. Want to find out more?
