Realizing the need and part of the diversification plan, BSRM ventured into a new business area and set up a wire manufacturing unit called BSRM Wires at Mirsharai in Chattogram. The plant has the capacity to manufacture 65,000 tons of wires per annum. A combination of galvanized wire finished products, ACSR core wire, LRPC, Mig Wire, Welding Electrode, etc. will be manufactured in this unit, which are currently imported. The price of the finished imported goods is higher than it should be, considering the raw material price in the international market. Local manufacturing will help to reduce the price to great extent. BSRM Wires have a world-class manufacturing setup and a state-of-the-art testing lab to serve the market demand with International standard products conforming to global standards. The range of new products manufactured in BSRM Wires will not only play a significant role to meet the growing demands of different types of construction but also in keeping the nation safe at every level.
