BruxA's main goal is to find a cure to bruxism, a repetitive jaw muscle activity characterized by the clenching and grinding of teeth. As a first step, BruxA will develop a smart mouthguard that protects teeth while gathering data on sleep bruxism using embedded electronics. With this data, users will be able to track the effectiveness of treatments recommended to reduce bruxism. BruxA will also use this data to optimize future product development to treat bruxism.
