Established in 1851, The Wooster Brush Company is the largest privately owned paint applicator manufacturer in the U.S.A. Paintbrushes or rollers, surface prep tools, roller frames and extension poles—their problem-solving products help painters work faster, produce a more professional finish, and eliminate hassles. They are located in Wooster, Ohio—just blocks from where founder Adam Foss produced his first handmade brushes. Wooster has more than 888,000 square feet of manufacturing, shipping, administrative, and warehousing facilities.
Foss sold his first brushes door-to-door; today Wooster manufactures more than 2,000 products that are used internationally in Canada, Mexico, Australia, Puerto Rico, Latin America, the UK, Ireland, Russia, Saudi Arabia, China, Thailand, and Japan. With an average of 16 years of service each, its 500+ employees are committed to quality and innovation.
Some of the most popular brands of paint applicators and equipment on the market are made by Wooster, including: Ultra/Pro®, Yachtsman®, Shortcut® and Silver Tip® brushes; Super/Fab®, Pro/Doo-Z®, Super Doo-Z® and Polar Bear® paint rollers; Sherlock® roller frames and extension poles; the Jumbo-Koter® miniroller system; and Prep Crew® surface prep tools.
Our reputation as a manufacturer of the finest art materials dates back 240+ years. Here at Daler-Rowney, we have been inspiring creativity since 1783 and our aim is to enable everyone to be creative.
In 1983, the Daler Board Company purchased the George Rowney Company to become Daler-Rowney Limited, as it’s known today. In their own specialist areas of manufacture, both companies led the development of fine artists' materials in the United Kingdom for many years. The combined heritage of both companies, the manufacturing sites in the UK & Dominican Republic, and the Daler-Rowney name has become synonymous with consistent quality to artists throughout the world.
In 2016, Daler-Rowney became part of the FILA Group. All brands from the FILA portfolio are available through Daler-Rowney in the UK including Giotto; Giotto be-bè; DAS; Lyra; Arches; Canson; Strathmore; Princeton; Maimeri; Ferrario; and LUKAS. In addition, Daler-Rowney sells UK-specific brands that include Scola, Creativity Backgrounds, and Creativity Inspired.
