BKLVLUP is a community-powered enviro-tech and development nonprofit rooted in East Flatbush, Flatbush, and Flatlands. We reimagine what power looks like when it’s designed by us, for us. Founded from a grassroots vision, BKLVLUP blends environmental justice, digital equity, civic engagement, art, and collective joy to challenge the systems harming Black and Brown Brooklynites — and to build futures that belong to us. Our programs center: EcoPower Youth Internship: Climate tech & science education The Flats Community Land Trust: Community land ownership Cultivate: Environmental justice & design-thinking The Collective: BIPOC small business empowerment From rain-activated street art to youth-led soil testing, every initiative is a blueprint for what it means to level up Brooklyn — one block, one business, one voice at a time. The future is local. The power is collective. The moment is now.
