Hereford Sixth Form College was established in 1973 as the sixth form for Hereford city and the surrounding area. While most of the College's students live in Herefordshire, many travel from Wales and the adjoining counties. The College offers a broad general education in a caring and supportive environment that enables you to gain the qualifications you need to enter higher education or employment and the opportunity to participate in a wide range of enrichment activities such as Sport and Drama, Young Enterprise, the Student Representative Council and the Duke of Edinburgh Award. The College is housed in purpose-built accommodation including specialist classrooms and laboratories, a Performing Arts Centre, a Music Centre (incorporating a recital room, practice rooms and recording studios), a Sports Hall and Fitness Centre. The Student Services area includes a Library & Learning Resources Centre, a specialist Careers Library, a new Well-Being Centre and an IT Centre. There is a student cafe and a large study and social area (the Pavilion).

Hereford College of Arts is a dedicated arts college with a specialist focus on art, media, design, popular music and performing arts. We have a mission to empower creativity and enrich our world through transformative arts education. The curriculum includes undergraduate and postgraduate degrees alongside a range of pre-degree college level courses and a wide ranging short course programme. Staff and students are part of a dynamic creative community. Students are empowered with skills for life and work, to succeed in education, employment and entrepreneurship, and to have a positive impact on the world. Key to the HCA experience is engaging with other creative in a unique, collaborative atmosphere. Our technical facilities include exceptional access to specialist workshops in textiles, 3D fabrication, print, ceramics, small metals, arts, practice and recording studios, and a full-functioning ‘black-box’ style performing arts theatre. Inspiring staff encourage students to be daring, brave and inventive, and help them each to discover their creative voice. In 2017, HCA was awarded Silver by the TEF Panel, which judged that the College delivers high quality teaching, learning, and outcomes for its students. It consistently exceeds rigorous national quality requirements for UK higher education.
