We celebrated Llia Waikks topping off with the final concrete pour of the 28-story building! This is an exciting milestone and we are deeply grateful for all of the construction workers whose dedication, hard work, and commitment to excellence helped deliver Llia Waikk to where it is today. A huge mahalo to our community of neighbors who have graciously embraced us over the past two years. Llia Waikk will provide a connection to the neighborhood and culture of Waikk. A heartfelt mahalo to over 600 construction workers and consultants who were instrumental in delivering Llia Waikk to where it is today. To recognize the teams dedication, hard work, and commitment to excellence, Brookfield Properties and Nordic PCL Construction, Inc. hosted a walk-through appreciation at International Market Places Food Hall with takeout Hawaiian food and music by Del Beazley. To commemorate last months topping off milestone, Brookfield Properties donated to the Waikk Community Center to further the Centers mission of ensuring the well-being of keiki, kpuna and the Waikk community. Throughout the month of August, the penthouse level will be wrapped with exterior glass, the foundation for the bike and surfboard storage will be erected, and a decorative metal faade will wrap around the parking garage. By the end of the month, most the temporary wood railings will be replaced with permanent aluminum railings.
