Brixton Station Road Market is run by the Brixton Market Traders’ Federation Community Interest Company. That means it’s run by traders themselves. It isn’t owned by a private corporation or run by the local authority, which makes it one-of-a-kind. Where we’re at: The community and local people are at the heart of all our markets. And now that the Federations is a registered community interest company, any profit we make goes back into Brixton, in one way or another. Where we’re going: Being the sort of business we are, we’ve got a big social responsibility to hold onto that community spirit. So to keep it going, we’re doing everything we can to make Brixton market an even better place. To create more opportunities for now and in the future. How? We’ll create more job and volunteer opportunities, and help business start-ups get their feet off the ground. We’ll also arrange to do even more work with local charities and community groups. In a nutshell, we’re doing everything we can to show people what Brixton has to offer.
