What fuels Leon is the belief that food should taste good and do you good. And that everyone should be able to enjoy it. To do this, we’ve set about to change the face of fast food. Our food is naturally full of flavour, full of goodness, and from people we know and like. We often cook with seasonal ingredients, olive oil and fresh herbs and spices. Back when we had one restaurant, what really made us believe we were on the right track was the passion, support and input of people who eat with us; it wasn’t all plain sailing, but the overriding message was that you were glad we were around. We hope you continue to think this and thanks for all your support so far. If you have anything to ask, say or suggest, feel free. People have been very kind about Leon but we’ve got a long way to go and we think there is always room for improvement. Leon are growing faster than ever before. In 1983 Ben’s Cookies began in the home of cookery writer and chocoholic, Helge Rubinstein. The cookies were too good not to be shared and so Oxford’s Covered Market became our home with the original shop opening in 1984. Helge coined the name after her son Ben (that’s him in our logo, drawn by her good friend and renowned illustrator Sir Quentin Blake). This shop, with our simple freshly-baked cookie outlook, is still going strong today. So is our business, with new shops appearing in select locations in England and around the world.

With a long standing heritage spanning nearly 100 years we have been producing lovingly handmade cakes since 1926. We are passionate about cakes, food and coffee including our amazing afternoon teas and delivering memorable experiences is at the heart of what we do With 17 stores nationwide and an online delivery service, Patisserie Valerie is available to everyone. We pride ourselves on having an exceptionally talented team across the business who care about our customers and work hard to make every occasion count. We are the home of patisserie.
