It started with a borrowed ladder. Founder Dean Lyons, a college student in Provo, Utah, offered to pull a neighbor's Christmas lights down one afternoon and got handed $20 for ten minutes of work. The math, and the feeling, stuck. Two years later he left school to start a lighting company built on the rule his father taught him: if you're going to do a job, do it well. Three decades later, that standard hasn't changed.
