Jan moved to Los Angeles in 1986 from England where he quickly established a reputation in the local construction industry for building strong, professional teams able to undertake the unusual and challenging residential construction projects for demanding clients. Jan's early years in Los Angeles were spent in the renovation, expansion and construction of custom homes, multi-family developments and office tenant improvements. In April 1993 he accepted the position as Vice President of Construction for Golf Enterprises, Inc., the first publicly traded golf management company in the United States. American Golf Corporation subsequently acquired Golf Enterprises, Inc. in August 1996. As Director of Construction for American Golf Corporation, Jan was directly responsible for construction activities and capital improvement projects in over 25 states with an annual budget in excess of $50 million. Jan was with American Golf until March 2000 when he left to form Brindle Development, LLC to provide construction management and owner representation services for developers and owners. Since establishing Brindle Development, Jan has been able to capitalize on his many years experience in both the golf and construction industries to build strong teams and develop strategic alliances to provide Brindle Development clients unparalleled service and results. In March 2009, Jan earned the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Accredited Professional (LEED® AP) designation.
