Bright Future Early Education Centre provides a learning program that is committed to achieving the outcomes set out in the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF). The ELYF is a nationally mandated curriculum framework which "describes the principles, practice and outcomes essential to support and enhance young children's learning from birth to five years of age, as well as their transition to school". The EYLF advocates play-based learning, that aims for all children to feel that they belong, can be and are becoming. The children's learning structure at Bright Futures is designed to cater for the following developmental areas:· Social and emotional wellbeing· Health and physical development· Language and communication (including early numeracy and literacy)· Problem solving· Cultural competence· ICT/ TechnologyThe learning structure at BF will be delivered through an emergent curriculum that involves:· Play-based learning· A holistic approach· Intentional teaching· Assessment for learning· Individual and group learning structures· A variety of indoor and outdoor learning environments· High expectations and equity· Active participation in/with the community· Involvement of families· Excursions· Special Events· Ongoing and reflective practicesAt Bright Future Early Education Centre we offer Chinese classes, Arts and Music. These extra-curriculum classes will be offered at no extra cost, and implemented into the daily program. The classes will vary according to age and developmental level, and will aim to encourage creativity, language development, cultural competence and wellbeing. We are also the government approved kindergarten program. Each enrolled child will be supplied a portfolio which will be on display for families and educators to contribute to. These portfolios will include documentation of children's learning, growth and strengths across all developmental areas.
