Bridges helps families and patients navigate the challenging terrain at the end-of -life. We offer unbiased information on hospice, palliative care. and related issues, as well as programming for the bereaved, veterans, and professionals. We also make available inpatient hospice care, as owners of the Mt. Pleasant Hospice Center, the only such free-standing hospice facility in the area. Why Bridges? With more than 60 hospice care providers in our area, we see an unmet need: connecting people in an unbiased way with resources to help them deal with end-of-life realities. And while Bridges is a new name, our team has been around for more than 30 years, first as Hospice of Charleston, then as Hospice of Charleston Foundation. As the Foundation, we became, and remain, independent from any direct care providers. Bridges is the place to go for help with the transition from life to death, the place to find neutral, unbiased information delivered with care and compassion.
