BREWTANICA™ is a shared global journal of real beers kept by the people making the beer and drinking the beer anywhere around the world where there is a mobile internet connection. Scan a label to log it — Ale Intelligence™ reads it, verifies it, and publishes your entry for everyone to discover. And when you pour something BREWTANICA hasn’t met yet, you’re the one who adds it. BREWTANICA™ started out as a personal passion project, an idea that came to mind in 2009. I didn't have the time or the tools to build it myself back then, but 17 years and two kids later, the world is a different place for everyone except beer lovers. All of the current apps aimed at beer lovers are antiquated, trying to be a liquor store in your pocket, or not welcoming to my wife or new beer drinkers looking for a recommendation they don't need to be a licensed cicerone to appreciate. Those apps are about commerce, not the culture and community that connects beer lovers around the world.
