Brenda Orlando Information

Brenda Orlando has been practicing in public and private accounting for the last thirty two years. Brenda graduated with High Distinction from the University of Michigan Dearborn, with a BSA in Accounting in 1983. Brenda passed the Uniform CPA Exam on the first sitting in 1984, and completed her two year hands on experience in 1985 as required by the State of Michigan with an International Certified Public Accounting Firm located in Detroit, Michigan. She completed the American Institute of CPA's (AICPA) business valuation coursework in 2000. In 2005, she passed the full day exam on the first sitting to become an ABV, which is a Certified Public Accountant, accredited by the AICPA in Business Valuation. In addition to earning her ABV, Brenda is also Certified in Financial Forensics by the AICPA. Brenda has completed over 1,300 hours of continuing education, including over 500 hours in the areas of business valuation, forensic accounting, and litigation support. She has completed the 40 hour mediation training course and experience as required by Michigan Court Rules; and has attended the American Legal Institute of the American Bar Association's Academy on the Art and Science of becoming a Special Master. She has over 10,000 hours of experience in the areas of business valuation and litigation support, including a multitude of divorce, bankruptcy, and civil cases.
