It is acknowledged that Carryduff GAC makes a wide and valued social contribution to our parish our schools and our community. The cooperation with all is our aim and to make our games and culture available to all who are interested in becoming involved. The club imparts positive values to the young people of our community and provides its members with valuable opportunities to develop their social and leadership skills, even if their sporting successes are never formally recorded. We pride ourselves in making considerable contribution towards education for life for our young members in a very enjoyable and safe environment. I believe - and hopefully all involved will agree - that all the young boys and girls who participate in the life of our club will share in the credit for the sporting success of the club in whichever activity they participate in. None of this could be achieved without the voluntary efforts of so many committed and dedicated people. Since work commenced on our facilities and until its official opening on Sunday 24th May 2009, I know that you have all worked extremely hard and tirelessly for our club. May this continue for the future and continue to meet the needs of the club. The local community too has contributed tremendous support for our facility. Páirc Aodha Dhuibh has cost you all time, effort and money. I am nevertheless sure that this will be repaid back to the club members and supporting local community with interest in the future that is ahead of us all as a community. Carryduff GAC now has its very own 'home turf' and this will contribute in no small way to further developing our 'home grown' sports men and women and to consolidating the future of Gaelic games and culture within the Carryduff Club and wider area. I sincerely hope that all our special guests who joined us on what was a memorable day for the club themselves had a memorable and enjoyable day at the opening of Páirc Aodha Dhuibh. I wish to congratulate the Club and wish all its members and participants every success in the future. May Gaelic games and culture remain dynamic within the area.

The Senior Footballers ended their season with a loss in Warrenpoint on Thursday 1-12 to 1-20, a score line which somewhat flattered the winners who scored their goal in added time. Subs: Michael Clarke, Dane Matthews, Joe McCartan. Kingdom YC has registered to participate in activities during Anti-Bullying Week from 13th to 17th November. There was a good turn-out for our Halloween activities with many enjoying the traditional games like apple-bobbing and the marvellous fireworks display from JB Pyro. Thanks to those who helped. The U16 Camogs lost their Championship Final by one point, 0-8 to 2-3. The P1 to P4 Footballers had a party on Saturday to mark the official change over to the new school year; everyone received a medal and a goodie bag.
