Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams was founded in 2002 by James Beard Award-winning cookbook author Jeni Britton Bauer. Britton Bauer’s ahead-of-the-trend vision—using whole ingredients and dairy from grass-pastured cows, rather than synthetic flavorings and commodity ice cream mix—coupled with inspired flavors, sparked the artisan ice cream movement more than a decade before it would become a top food trend. Today, Jeni’s is a certified B Corporation with 33 scoop shops, an online shop at jenis.com, and distribution in top groceries across the country.

Debbie's grab-and-go deli, The Goddess and Grocer, opened its Bucktown-based outpost in 2004. Serving a colorful, globally-inspired menu of creative sandwiches, vibrant salads, mix-and-match prepared meals, and gourmet pantry items, The Goddess and Grocer was an instant hit and has expanded to four Chicago locations: Bucktown (1649 N Damen), River North (901 N Larrabee), Gold Coast (1127 N State) and O’Hare’s International Terminal 5. The Goddess and Grocer is also well-known for its freshly made and beautifully presented catering. Whether for corporate breakfasts and lunches, informal parties at home, family gatherings, or any celebration, Goddess and Grocer Catering can assist with anything you need to make your event a success. The Goddess Group also includes The Goddess Rocks! Catering, which creates customized backstage food experiences for some of the biggest performers in the world. Debbie has fed Lollapalooza, Paul McCartney, Fleetwood Mac, Jay-Z and Beyonce, to name only a few. Finally, in 2015, Debbie unveiled a new concept called Goddess and the Baker. Taking on the crowds at Navy Pier and the Loop (LaSalle and Wacker, 33 S Wabash), Goddess and the Baker delivers playful breakfast and lunch menus, a broad coffee and tea program, plus an abundant selection of cookies, cakes and pastries.
