Braves Information

The Baden Powell Cricket Club would like to welcome all life members, players, supporters, families and sponsors to the 2016/17 season. The coming season promises to be an exciting time for the club. We will be fielding 6 senior teams and would like to congratulate and welcome our captains Rhys Elmi, Ben Davenport, Val Gnanakone, Greame Wilson, Chris Rice and Richard Dawe. We would also like to again welcome our specialist coaches Mark O'Sullivan and Dave McClean. Our junior program is going as strong as ever on the back of the hard work of a dedicated team of volunteers and we are proud to say we will have 11 junior teams this season: 3 x under 16's, 3 x under 14's, 2 x under 12's, 1 x under 10's, Girls and Milo cricket. Welcome to all new and existing juniors and their families. Junior cricket will commence October 15th (we are waiting on the MPCA for fixtures). We are always looking for players, so if you have not played for a few seasons or know anyone interested, bring them down. Both seniors and juniors, we are especially looking for under 14's, under 16's and girls players. Our new nets are now complete and look great and off the field we are continuing to work with our partners through new sponsorship initiatives to continue to help grow our club to even greater levels of success. I hope to see everyone at the club in the coming days and weeks. As usual we will be having selection night meals, beginning tonight! Everyone is welcome for Parma's, the bar is open and clothing will also be available for purchase. We also have social functions, player nights and more planned so keep an eye on the website, social media and your inbox for all the details. Of particular interest is our Past Players Day (Robbo's Day) on the Saturday 22nd of October at Baden Powell Reserve (Little BP). I'm looking forward to a successful season. Lets make it a great 2016/17 for the Braves!
