Helping people in need. That's what the Red Cross stands for. With the largest volunteer aid network in the world, we are ready to help those who need us most. We respond to disasters, conflicts and emergencies. With national societies in 191 countries, we are always close by. Also in the Netherlands we are ready for action. About 10,000 volunteers and 106,000 people in our civil aid network Ready2Help are committed to helping people in need. Has a fire broke out in a flat? We take care of the residents. Sprain your ankle during a race? Chances are you will meet our emergency workers at the first aid post. Want to know what to do if your child chokes? Veiligheids- en Gezondheidsregio Gelderland-Midden (VGGM): brandweer, regionale ambulancevoorziening en GGD onder één dak voor de 15 gemeenten in de regio Gelderland-Midden. De veiligheid én gezondheid van de burgers in die regio staan in ons werk op de eerste plaats, 24 uur per dag, 365 dagen per jaar. In dit gebied wonen ongeveer 680.000 inwoners.

Samen zorgen voor een veilige maatschappij. EHBO'ers zorgen op vrijwillige basis voor eerste hulp bij ongelukken.
