Branchburg Education Foundation Information

The Branchburg Education Foundation (BEF) is an independent, 501(c)(3), non-profit organization founded in 1997. Our mission is to enhance public education through private funding. The BEF is governed by a Board of Trustees consisting of volunteers from all corners of the community, and operates independently of the Board of Education and the PTO. What Do We Do? The BEF is committed to funding special programs, projects and equipment throughout Branchburg public schools and Somerville High School. These can be district-wide grants, school-wide grants, or grants to teachers for use in their classrooms. It is important to note that many of these programs, projects and equipment would not otherwise be funded through the traditional school district budget. From the Sciences to the Arts, Language Arts to Music, peer support to cultural diversity, the BEF provides funding for countless educational endeavours that add depth to the curriculum and broaden the scholastic experience for our children. Our signature grants include Author's Day, Geography Day, Project Graduation and I Love Learning Day. Why Should You Care? In order to offer the level of educational success we've come to expect in Branchburg, it rests fundamentally upon the generosity of our community to support initiatives that help to achieve this high level of excellence. The Branchburg Education Foundation is the only community organization that is set up to accept private funding and funnel it directly back into the Branchburg school district and also to Somerville High School for the sole purpose of enhancing the educational experience for ALL children.
