BRAINnet Foundation Information

BRAINnet is a global scientific network, that freely provides members with access to an unprecedented array of brain, cognitive, genomic and clinical data for research and scientific publication. The goal of the BRAINnet Foundation (501(c)3 US based Tax Exempt research Foundation) is to hasten and facilitate the cure of human brain disease. It accomplishes its goal through the open electronic sharing and continued expansion of a global database of human brain function in health and disease across the life span. BRAINnet’s differentiator is the use of the same proven standardized protocols and measurements techniques in all studies allowing for data pooling across disorders, sites and studies. Additionally the Foundation uniquenesses are: •Open research network of collaborating members •Free Access to Data •Integrating data across the genome, Brainmarkers*, and clinical measures •Open sharing of data without data contribution •Cooperative collaboration and openness within the global scientific community to analyze and publish data (self organizing) •Successful competing for grant support with collaborators to carry our large clinical studies of human disorders
