A marketplace finds you the client and then keeps them, which is a fair trade when you are starting out and stops being one the moment word of mouth is doing the work. What Pawservation handles is the load-bearing half of a pet-care business. A calendar that knows the difference between a walk and an overnight, and that a house fitting two dogs cannot take three. Quotes and invoices drawn from the same place, so they cannot drift apart. Cancellation windows enforced on the sitter’s own business day rather than a timezone nobody chose. There is an assistant that answers questions about services, availability and pricing at eleven at night, quoting only from the sitter’s own rate card and open calendar. It cannot move money or confirm a booking. Nothing happens until the sitter approves a request. A client running their own AI assistant can book over the Model Context Protocol (MCP) instead of opening a website, and that booking waits on the same approval. Installing it is one line of HTML on whatever site builder the sitter already uses. No developer, and no migrating a client list into somebody else’s platform.
