BOYS & GIRLS CLUBS OF THE PIEDMONT INC Information

To enable all young people, especially those who need us the most, to reach their full potential as productive, The Boys & Girls Club of the Piedmont was founded in 2007 and moved to our current location in the spring of 2009. The Power Hour program helps challenge our members to meet their academic goals. By providing help with homework, tutoring and high-yield activities, our members are gaining the tools to become self-directed learners. The Triple Play program helps kids create healthy habits. By engaging in the recommended amount of physical activity, members learn about eating right, keeping fit and forming positive relationships leading to a healthy lifestyle. Through the SMART Moves program, we are using a team approach by utilizing Club staff, parents, peer leaders, and community members to help educate our members on risky behaviors. The program helps members learn responsible behaviors. The Club is actively seeking volunteers with a variety of skills to enrich our members experience. Art, dance, music, cooking, gardening, and reading, are our biggest activities in need of volunteers.
