Bound2Learn publishes and distributes quality educational resources for use in schools and the home. Our mission is to provide teachers and parents with the educational materials they need to set their children's minds in motion. We have chosen materials that satisfy and promote our view of how children best learn. We believe that children learn when they are: Presented with rich and engaging materials Actively involved in authentic tasks Introduced to skills in the context of real-world investigations Encouraged to have fun and take risks Asked to take responsibility for their own learning Provided with materials designed to address their specific learning style Asked to reflect on the learning they have done We also strongly believe that parents play a crucial role in children's education: they are a child's first and most influential teacher. To encourage the development of a strong home-school connection, we welcome the opportunity to host, in partnership with schools, Parent Nights where some or all of the following questions can be discussed: What resources can I use in the home to support my child's education? How is the classroom different from the days that I attended school? What should my child know at his or her age? How can the computer be used to enhance my child's education?
