Iconic Wellington restaurant, Boulcott Street Bistro opened its doors in 1991 and has become a landmark on Wellington's restaurant scene. For the past 23 years we've welcomed visitors and locals alike with warm hospitality, a menu cooked with care, and a well chosen wine list all served in a relaxed atmosphere. Head Chef / Partner – Rex Morgan Somewhere between being a New Zealand Beef & Lamb Ambassador, culinary judge, TV personality and menu designer for Air New Zealand Business Premier internationally recognized and award winning chef Rex Morgan finds the time to create and deliver one of Wellington’s favourite menus: a combination of classic and innovative dishes which highlight the freshest and very best local produce available. Patron’s of Wellington fine dining restaurants will also remember Rex Morgan for his culinary haven, Citron. • Plimmer House was built in the 1872 and became a fine dining restaurant in the 1970s under the same name. • In 1991, Chris Green and John Lawrence sold Tinakori Bistro and bought Plimmer House. With a complete interior refit they transformed it into Boulcott Street Bistro. • The Bistro has won numerous culinary and hospitality awards over the past two decades, from Corbans Wine and Food Challenge to the recent Capital Awards for Most Outstanding Chef.
