Bottled Lightning is composed of acclaimed comic book creators David Gallaher and Steve Ellis, having collectively worked on the largest brands and franchises in the world — from the Toys R Us to Green Lantern to Breaking Bad to Iron Man before refocusing on creating worlds and characters for their own original work. As a studio, they pioneered digital comics with their series BOX 13, the first comic made exclusively for the iOS platform. The wild success of BOX 13 spawned the Harvey Award-nominated sequel — BOX 13: THE PANDORA PROCESS. The studio’s latest project — THE ONLY LIVING BOY — has garnered three Harvey Award-nominations, including Best Comic for Younger Readers. Beyond the world of comics, Bottled Lightning utilizes its characters in entertainment, licensing and publishing, while also packaging prose and comic projects for our transmedia partners.
