Since its establishment 30 years ago, Lush Cosmetics has been driven by innovation and its ethics. Creators of pioneering beauty products such as the bath bomb, shower jellies and solid shampoo bars, Lush places emphasis on fresh ingredients like organic fruits and vegetables. Lush operates a strict policy against animal testing and supports fair trade and community trade initiatives. Lush leads the cosmetics industry in combating over-packaging by running public awareness campaigns and developing products that can be sold ‘naked’ to the consumer without any packaging. There are 923 Lush shops in 52 countries worldwide. In Australia, we employ over 500 people from manufacturing staff, sales staff in store and online who serve our customers to the teams hand-making our products in the Sydney-based factory. In 2015, Lush received the Australian Retailer of the Year award. Our Core Beliefs: We believe in making effective products from fresh, organic fruit and vegetables, the finest essential oils and safe synthetics. We invent our own products and fragrances. We make them fresh by hand using little or no preservative or packaging, using only vegetarian ingredients, and tell you when they were made. We believe in buying ingredients only from companies that do not commission tests on animals and in testing our products on humans. We believe in happy people making happy soap, putting our faces on our products and making our mums proud. We believe in long candlelit baths, sharing showers, massage, filling the world with perfume and in the right to make mistakes, lose everything and start again. We believe our products are good value, that we should make a profit and that the customer is always right.
