AVR is gespecialiseerd in de verwerking van diverse soorten restafval. Wij zetten dit restafval om in energie en grondstoffen voor huishoudens en bedrijven. Het is onze ambitie om een schone wereld te creëren waarin niets onbenut blijft. AVR maakt wat waardeloos is weer waardevol. Wij werken aan positieve verandering, iedere dag weer, met een nuchtere kijk en praktische oplossingen. AVR beschikt over twee locaties waar energie en grondstoffen worden gemaakt van afval: Duiven en Rozenburg. In Den Haag, Utrecht en hartje Rotterdam bevinden zich 4 overslagstations. De centrale ligging van de locaties zijn zeer gunstig zowel voor de afvalleveranciers als de afnemers van energie en grondstoffen. Afval wordt zoveel mogelijk via water aangevoerd en waar dat niet mogelijk is, over de weg. Bij AVR werken 450 medewerkers.
