We're changing the way outdoor equipment is made. We envision a future where the thrill of adventure meets the heart of sustainability. Our groundbreaking EcoTriFiber (ETF) Technology sets a new standard in eco-conscious gear and fosters a harmonious relationship between humans and nature. ETF is a new bio-based composite of algae, hemp, and flax. ETF is meticulously engineered to refine the boundaries of sustainable outdoor equipment. By harnessing the unique strengths of these natural fibers, we've created a material that stands up to the rigorous demands of outdoor adventures while staying sustainable. ETF is a composite of 3 novel and propriety materials: - ALG-10: Derived from a proprietary blend of 4 species of microalgae and 4 species of macroalgae. ALG-10 brings unique complex polysaccharides and cellulose to ETF. - HMP-18: Derived from the fiber and seed of 4 different hemp cultivars. HMP-18 brings cellulose, lignin, pectin, and natural resins and oils to ETF. - FLX-04: Derived from the fiber and seed of 4 different flax varieties. FLX-04 brings cellulose, lignin, pectin, natural resins, waxes, gums, and ash to ETF. Many in the industry are already applying the unique properties of algae, hemp, or flax to outdoor gear. We saw an opportunity to combine them into a novel composite material where the whole is greater than the sum of its parts. The result is a sustainable material with properties similar to wood, fiberglass, and plastic. Preliminary modeling suggests ETF could have industry-leading specifications in the following characteristics: - Lightweight - Durability - Tensile strength - Stiffness - Flexibility - Vibration Damping - Thermal Insulation - Moisture and UV Resistance As we continue the R&D process to advance ETF Technology, we are already working with manufacturers to ensure that this pioneering material is fit for purpose in the next generation of skis and snowboards, tent poles, hiking and ski poles, and backpack frames.
